A reality model is a map. The map is not the territory, and a beautiful map can still be wrong. ROOT Protocol uses maps that say how confident they are.
Layers
Treat experience as layered:
- What you can point to: an action, a sentence, a measurement, a date.
- The interpretation you added: motive, meaning, destiny, threat.
- The hypothesis you want to try next.
Mixing the layers is how a guess becomes a doctrine. Keeping them separate is the whole method.
Status is part of the model
A claim can be verified, supported, uncertain, speculative, disputed, or rejected. The word is the status. A color, a tone of voice, or a founder’s preference is not. Speculative pages are allowed on the site because hiding them would pretend the questions do not exist.
If two honest readers cannot tell what would count against a sentence, the sentence is not ready to guide practice.
