Root State is a working name for a temporary condition. Attention is available. A pattern can be named. You can tell a fact from the story about the fact well enough to choose a next step.
What it is not
It is not enlightenment, a permanent identity, or permission to instruct other people. It ends. You can miss it. You can fake the language of it. The fake is usually the sentence that cannot name a single observable detail.
How you notice it
You notice it by contrast. A moment ago the reaction was automatic. Now there is a pause, and the pause contains a description: what happened, what you added, what you could do next. If the description is only a grand word, you are not there yet.
Name one fact, one interpretation, and one step. If you cannot, you are still inside the story.
